After a few false starts, we were lucky enough to obtain an outstanding puppy who became our foundation bitch, Am-Can Ch. Balmoral's Hot Legs At Abelard, OD. Lightning struck twice with the acquisition of a baby boy who grew into Ch. Boitano's Band on the Run to Abelard, OS. Both of these dogs were outstanding representatives of the breed and went on to obtain Outstanding Dam and an Outstanding Sire awards from the Golden Retriever Club of America. We owe Quest and Summer's breeders a big "thank you" for this start.

We obtained our first Golden Retriever nearly 20 years ago, with hopes of showing in conformation. Although he didn't turn out to be a showdog, he did introduce us to the wonderful breed, its beauty, temperament and versatility, and we resolved that "one day" we would have dogs worthy of being champions and maybe create a breeding program that would have a good impact on the breed.
