We have been involved with Golden Retrievers since 1979. At that time we acquired our first Golden and soon had five dogs, all out of English lines. We have been involved in Field, Obedience, Agility and Conformation with varying success. The main thing for us is to be with our dogs and enjoy them, because they leave us too soon. We have been fortunate that most of our dogs have lived long lives, the oldest being 17 1/2 years before we lost her.
We have been very involved with the Golden Retriever clubs that we have belonged to. We are past members of the Golden Retriever Club of Greater Los Angeles (GRCGLA) and are presently members of the Evergreen Golden Retriever Club (EGRC). We have made some of our best human friends through our involvement with our wonderful dogs. Our Goldens have connected us with people from all over the world. Ane still maintains her Danish citizenship and has been active in Golden Retriever Rescue from 1986 through 2000.

Here
is our beloved "Shadow". We adopted him at 8 years of age from the EGRC
Rescue. We loved him dearly until we had to let him go in september 2002
at the age of 13 years. |
Here
are our two present Goldens, Tudor and Tuppence, posing for their 2002 Christmas
picture. They are related and are imported from England. Tudor is working
on his CD and Tuppence will start obedience classes in December 2002. They
will both be working in the Field and Agility. Hopefully, we will get an
American Championship on Tuppence when she matures. They wish everyone a
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. |
